It started with an opportunity…

Having studied mechanical and manufacturing engineering – being versed in management topics and systems thinking – I had the opportunity to work with a subsidiary of a FTSE 100 company to change all their business processes through putting in a company-wide ERP system.

It was a huge challenge. However, with the support of some very good engineers and managers, I succeeded.

This provided me with the best possible business experience, and also a taste of the potential of working in business transformation and change. In short, I was hooked!

Since that time I have worked with some fantastic people and companies, including…


Cengage. I currently work for Cengage Learning, in their Skills Technology Division. With overall responsibility for delivering the Technology Portfolio, I am establishing a PMO and enjoying being at the center of developing the company’s future Product Portfolio.

2015 / 2016

Leeds Beckett University. At Leeds Beckett,
I was PMO and Portfolio Manager, with responsibility to develop and grow the PMO while leading the team that delivered all IT related transformational change for the University.

2012 – 2014

Novartis, Astra Zeneca and Cummins were clients for whom I was responsible for achieving transformational business changes, including: delivering operational improvements and cost savings; new supply chain and operations processes; and new IT Service Management processes – all underpinned by technology.

1998 – 2012

I had the pleasure of working with Rolls-Royce, Fiat Group, Jaguar Land Rover, UK Ministry of Defence, BP, UK Inland Revenue Service, to name a few. During this time I was with ATKearney, EDS (now part of HP) and Tata Consultancy Services. I learned and delivered best practices in sales, IT Service delivery, business transformation, strategic sourcing, process improvement and much more!
